I see the light.

I will be honest. This post is as much about procrastination as anything else.
I have something DUE TODAY. An art submission. And although I am working on it, and have been working on it consistently, my tickley brain needed to finish THIS other idea before I can go to the studio and do THE OTHER THING.
Because this morning I was walking around taking photos of the beautiful morning light in this new home. Just because.
Because it reminds me that getting up early is worth it.
Because it will serve as a reminder of how the house will evolve.
Because I am filled with gratitude for these little moments of loveliness. These are the things that fill my creative cup, that give me the juice.
One of the reasons I fell in love with this home was the quality of the light that was pouring into it, which was in late Summer. From that first inspection, I was entranced. It was really delicious.
We moved into the house in late December 2026, so these seasons are all new, and I wondered how it might be, the light at different times. And I must admit, the light is just as lovely, just as yummy. My cup keeps filling.
Yes, I saw the light. I still see the light. And it is beautiful.
Hence the photos this morning, and since we moved in.
And the idea that I could maybe do a blog post about it. And so here I am.
But now I have to hustle to the studio. And the irony?
It is because I need to reshoot images of new artworks in this MAGIC LIGHT.
Really....
