Same old, same different...

Do you ever read your old diary entries, or old social media/blogs ?

Trawling through my old website, from when I mainly did illustration and collage, I started reading some old blog posts.

Now I like to think I have evolved as an artist and a human. I think I have....?

My art practice has definitely grown and developed beyond where I could have imagined. My life in general too.

But it is astounding how many of those old posts have themes, ideas, words that still totally resonate with who I am today. Yes, some things are not the same, but... Same old but same different.

So I am going to take my own advice, from a blog post in 2019. Why? Because

I have had a few uncomfortable things happen lately, news that I did not want to hear. There was frustration, and questioning the universe. The self scrutinising and wondering WHY? Then putting things into place to move forwards. Actions. Plans. Strategies. Be stubborn. Like in 2019.
